Council policies

This policy sets out the key principles for how additional capital and operational projects or service level changes impacting on the 10 Year Financial Plan will be recognised outside of the annual Budget cycle.

NGSC recognises that arts and culture enriches communities. The CRES is a new online system for kindergarten enrolments that aims to simplify access to kindergarten services for families and carers.

Council is required under s 45 of the Local Government Act 2020 to develop, adopt and keep in force a Chief Executive Officer Employment and Remuneration Policy. This policy outlines the mechanisms that will support the council in fulfilling its obligations for the employment, management and remuneration of the council's CEO.

The policy outlines Council's commitment to the health, safety and wellbeing of all children and to protecting them from abuse.

The purpose of the Community Engagement Policy is to outline the principles Council commits to community members to increase their participation in Council planning and decision-making as required under section 55 and 56 of the Local Government Act 2020.

This policy provides a framework by which community organisations may apply to Council to borrow money for specific programs and development opportunities as set out within the parameters of the policy.
