Developing these strategic plans takes several months, with the community engagement opportunities part of a much broader timeline. Please refer to the following timeline of events which outlines a more detailed summary of the full planning process.

2025-2029 Timeline

August-December 2024

• Internal planning and preparation activities.
• Data and insights audit of current demographic and stakeholder insights.
• Internal consultation on current plan outcomes and potential 2025-2029 priorities.

February 2025

• Community Engagement Survey opens (survey is now closed).
• Councillor Listening Posts available (all 11x posts have been completed).
• Consultation sessions with community groups (conducted).

March 2025 

• Municipal Public Health and Wellbeing workshops available (2x stakeholder-only events are completed).
• Community Council Plan workshops available (all 4x workshops have been completed).

April 2025

• First drafts of the 2025-2029 Council Plan and Municipal Public Health and Wellbeing Plan collated (in progress).

May-June 2025

• Internal consultation on current plan outcomes and potential 2025-2029 draft plans.

July 2025

• Community feedback on draft plans. More details to come. 

August-September 2025

• Finalisation of 2025-2029 Council Plan and Municipal Public Health and Wellbeing Plan.
• Councillors endorse finalised plans and communicate key outcomes with the community. More details to come.

October 2025

• Establishment of formal reporting and assessment over four-year period on key goals and outcomes sought.
