Unfortunately, due to the weather and impending storms and lightening, we have made the call to postpone today's event. Thanks to everyone who had planned on supporting the initiative, and to Sandy Bevan for all her work in this space.
Join the Walk Against Family Violence on Friday 24 November and help create a future where we are all safe, equal and respected.
Starting at 3.30pm at the Stawell Library with a talk from a lived experience speaker. Walk down Main Street and finish at the Stawell Pop-Up Park with a free BBQ from 4.30pm - 6pm.
This event marks the beginning of the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence – a global campaign for the prevention and elimination of violence against women and girls.
By joining the walk you can take action to prevent family violence and violence against women and stand in solidarity with victim-survivors.
People of all genders are welcome. Bring your workmates, friends, family, chosen family – and even your dogs! Wear orange if you can and bring a water bottle.
