Free Community Grant Writing Workshops are coming to St Arnaud and Stawell in February.

The workshop is designed to equip participants with the fundamental skills needed to successfully write a grant proposal, which are important funding opportunities for many sporting groups and community organisations. The session will guide you through key steps in the grant-writing process and focus on:

  1. Understanding the Guidelines: Learn how to read and interpret grant guidelines to ensure your application meets all the specific requirements.
  2. Checking Eligibility: Understand how to verify that your organisation or project qualifies for the funding.
  3. Meeting Deadlines: Develop strategies to manage time effectively and ensure timely submission of your application.
  4. Know your organisation: Do you know its background, where to find key information, and what challenges it faces
  5. Know your project: Understand the need for a detailed project plan with goals, objectives, actionable steps, timelines and challenges to demonstrate how the project will be carried out.
  6. Gain insights into how to prepare a realistic budget for your grant proposal, a crucial element for funding success.

By the end of the workshop, the aim is that you will have a clearer understanding of how to approach writing a grant proposal to ensure future success of your submissions.
