Northern Grampians Shire Council Mayor, Cr Murray Emerson is glad to see Victorian Coronavirus restrictions easing once again and that such a diverse timetable of school holiday entertainment is on offer for children and youth in the shire.
“Our council services and community organisations have really put on a show. What an amazing array of fun and low-cost things for our local kids and their visiting friends to do.” Cr Emerson said.
Cr Emerson cautioned the community to be mindful that the school holidays also means that an influx of visitors from other areas and states on our roads will mean changed conditions on our roads.
”Be extra vigilant on the roads, traffic will increase, and we will have a lot of tourists in our shire these school holidays.
“Shire visitors may not know their way around – be kind and helpful and encourage them to see everything we have to offer in our shire; we want them to leave with fond memories of their visit.”
“I also want to thank everyone in the shire for their diligence during the lockdown, supporting the call to be vaccinated and keeping our community COVIDSafe – keep up the good work everyone!”
"For the school community, I wish you all a restful and enjoyable couple of weeks.”
