The NGSC Library Service is a key community asset and one of the most actively used council services, with a current membership of 3,365. Offering a variety of literacy and learning programs and activities for its users, NGSC Library Service has a current and diverse collection in print, audio visual and digital formats and provides accessible and welcoming (albeit small) spaces for community engagement, lifelong learning, recreation and literacy skills development.
What does a Library Strategy do?
The NGSC Library Strategy aims to refresh our strategic directions for the future, including assessing the model of service delivery, including reviewing outreach services, and building a framework for continuous improvement. The NGSC Library Strategy will deliver a key strategic document that will inform the development and delivery of library services in Northern Grampians Shire into the future, including short, medium, and long-term actions.
Where are we at now?
Council is commencing the development of the NGSC Library Strategy and is seeking community input via a short survey available to complete online. We will also have hard copies of the survey available for you to complete in person at Customer Service or at our NGSC Libraries from Monday 27 February to Sunday 19 March.
