Library Strategy

Public libraries have been evolving for some time and the way people access and consume information has changed dramatically in the 21st century, presenting major challenges and opportunities for public library services.

The advent of new technologies has not only changed reading habits, but the need for shared, community-centred spaces to find information and connect with others. To stay relevant and continue to provide important services for the community, public libraries need to be flexible and innovative, embracing both the physical and virtual worlds.

The project will deliver a key strategic document that will inform the development and delivery of library services in Northern Grampians Shire into the future.

Your input is critical

The NGSC Library Service is a key community asset and one of the most actively used council services, with a current membership of 3,365.   

NGSC Library Service is planning for the future – and we want to hear from you! By completing our community survey you have an opportunity to tell us how we can improve library services for you and your community, even if you haven’t been to a library before.
