Animal services fees and charges

If you fail to fulfil a council-issued notice to comply by the due date, you will incur the cost associated with the administration of non-compliance.

The enforcement administration levy for non-compliance is $194.00 each.

Livestock - large other $57.00 per animal plus trailer hire, cartage, food, vet and disposal costs.

Sheep and goats - first animal $47.00 plus trailer hire, cartage, food, vet and disposal costs.

Sheep and goats - additional animal $15.50 each animal.

Small animals/poultry/birds - not including sheep and goats $15.50 per animal/poultry/bird.

Release fee first impound - registered $21.00 per cat.

Release fee first impound - unregistered $69.00 per cat.

Release fee second impoundment in a 12-month period $106.00 per cat.

Release fee third and subsequent impoundment in a 12-month period $169.00 per cat.

Release/encounter fee first impound - registered $30.60 per dog.

Release/encounter fee first impound - unregistered $163.20 per dog.

Release/encounter fee second impoundment in a 12-month period $321.30 per dog.

Release/encounter fee third and subsequent impoundment in a 12-month period $530.40 per dog.

Release fee dog involved in attack on person or animal $232.50 per dog.

Sustenance for dogs and cats $21.00 per animal per day.

Sustenance for livestock small (includes sheep and goats) $15.50 per animal per day.

Sustenance livestock large $20.50 per animal per day.

All animal permits (includes excess animals, livestock and small animals) non-refundable inspection fee $80.00 each.

Permit to operate a domestic animal business non-refundable $228.00 each.
